NORAD and USNORTHCOM Change of Command Ceremony

May 9, 2016 – Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces
United States Air Force General Lori Robinson, former Commander, Pacific Air Forces, will assume command of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, during a ceremony at 12 p.m. EDT Friday, May 13, 2016, in Hangar 1 on Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
General Robinson will assume Command from Navy Admiral Bill Gortney, who is scheduled to retire in June in Norfolk, Va. The Minister of National Defence, The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, and General Jonathan Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff, are scheduled to attend this event.
The ceremony can be viewed live on Friday, May 13 at 12 p.m., at www.defense.gov. A media availability will be held after the change of command.
