Armoured Soldiers Travel to Brazil on Exchange during Exercise STEELE LEOPARDO 2016

October 28, 2016 – Edmonton, Alberta – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces
Soldiers from Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians), an armoured unit within 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group based in Edmonton, Alberta will be participating in Exercise STEELE LEOPARDO 2016, from October 30 to November 12 in Brazil.
During the Exercise, participants will be focusing on information and knowledge exchange with their counterparts from the Brazilian Army Armoured Corps. Armoured training techniques include performing direct fire and surveillance tasks, as well as target acquisition and reconnaissance.
Participation in Exercise STEELE LEOPARDO enhances the readiness of the Canadian Armed Forces to undertake missions at the direction of the Government of Canada.
