Canadian Army Re-enacts Imjin Hockey Game Played During Korean War

November 3, 2016 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Media are invited to attend the 4th annual Imjin Classic hockey game, an event to commemorate the role Canadians played in the Korean War. The game is co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Canadian Army at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Saturday, November 5.

Who:
The Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence,His Excellency Daeshik Jo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Canada , Major-General Christian Juneau, Deputy Commander Canadian Army, and players from the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and Royal 22 e Régiment.
When:
12pm, Saturday, November 5 (puck drop at 12:39 p.m.)
What:
Media will have an opportunity to speak with some of the VIPs present and the members of the hockey teams, as well as gather imagery and footage of the game.
