Media are invited to a technical briefing where they will be provided with an update on the Government of Canada’s ongoing strategy to counter Daesh as well as its stabilization, development and humanitarian efforts in Iraq and the region.

  • Lieutenant-General Stephen Bowes, Commander Canadian Joint Operations Command;
  • Major-General Michael Rouleau, Commander Canadian Special Operations Forces Command;
  • Sean Boyd, Director, Strategic Policy and Programming Coherence - Middle East Development, Global Affairs Canada; and
  • Stephen Salewicz, Director, International Humanitarian Assistance Operations, Global Affairs Canada
