Ministers to Honour International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2017, Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan and Associate Minister of Defence and Minister of Veterans Affairs Kent Hehr will participate in a number of events in the Ottawa area to speak to the important role of women in defence and security.
Women in Defence & Security (WiDS) Memorial Scholarship Ceremony
Minister of Veterans Affairs Kent Hehr will deliver the keynote address at this annual WiDS event.
Time: Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. (EST), with keynote to follow at 9:00 a.m.
Location: Trillium Ballroom, Shaw Centre, 55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa
