The SkyHawks officially begin their 2017 performance season

April 28, 2017 – Trenton, Ontario – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, the SkyHawks, will officially launch their 2017 performance season at the Wings over Gatineau Airshow in Gatineau, Québec, Sunday, April 30th

The SkyHawks are proud to join the rest of Canada in celebrating our country’s 150th  anniversary while, at the same time, marking the team’s 46th year of performing at air shows, sporting events, and festivals across Canada and the United States.

The SkyHawks’ Facebook page and official web page will be updated with additional 2017 show dates as they become available.

At every performance, members of the SkyHawks showcase the high standard of professionalism, teamwork, and physical fitness it takes to be part of the Canadian Armed Forces.

  • The SkyHawks is Canada’s only military parachute demonstration team and is comprised of Regular and Reserve Force members from across the Canadian Armed Forces.

  • The SkyHawks team was established in 1971. During the last 46 years, members have performed at more than 5000 venues in Canada and around the world, while interacting with millions of spectators.

  • Parachuting skills allow the Canadian Armed Forces to quickly deploy military elements to respond to local or national emergencies, such as search and rescue operations, sending humanitarian aid to remote areas, or allowing for rapid insertion of personnel across the spectrum of operations.

  • The SkyHawks team has been based out of 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, for nearly twenty years and is part of the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre.
