Minister Sajjan to attend Meeting of North American Defence Ministers in Washington, DC

Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan will travel to Washington, DC, where he will participate in the third meeting of the North American Defence Ministers on May 21-22, 2017, in addition to a series of bilateral engagements on May 23, 2017.
U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis will host Minister Sajjan along with Mexico’s Secretary of Defence, General Salvador Cienfuego Zepeda, and Mexico’s Secretary of the Navy, Admiral Vidal Francisco Soberon Sanz. This meeting will provide an important opportunity for discussions related to continental defence and security issues affecting Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
While in Washington, Minister Sajjan will also participate in a Canadian American Business Council engagement. A media availability will follow.
