Royal Military College of Canada welcomes new Commandant

July 14, 2017 – Kingston, Ont. – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Brigadier-General Sébastien Bouchard assumed command today of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC), from Brigadier-General Sean Friday during a ceremony that took place on the grounds of the historic institution in Kingston, Ont. The ceremony was presided over by Rear-Admiral Luc Cassivi, Commander of the Canadian Defence Academy.

  • Brigadier-General Bouchard comes to RMCC after serving for two years as Commander of the Second Canadian Division Support Group, headquartered in Montreal. He was the head of 2,000 military and civilian employees who support 141 units with 18,000 National Defence personnel across 36 municipalities in the province of Quebec.
