Defence Minister Sajjan Visits Future Site of Training Centre for New Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft

January 24, 2018 – Comox, B.C. – Government of Canada

As part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to invest in Canadian Armed Forces Search and Rescue capabilities and ensure personnel have safe and modern facilities in which to work and train, Defence Minister Harjit S. Sajjan will visit the construction site of the new Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft Training Centre.

The commitment to operationalize the newly acquired Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue aircraft fleet was made through Canada’s new defence policy, Strong, Secure, Engaged.

Minister Sajjan will hold a media availability following the event.
