Members of Task Force Mali departing from 8 Wing Trenton

July 4, 2018 – Trenton, Ont. – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces
Media are invited to 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario to witness the departure of Canadian Armed Forces members deploying to Mali as part of Operation PRESENCE–Mali. 

Where: Passenger Terminal, 6 North Star West, 8 Wing Trenton

When: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018.

What: Canadian Armed Forces members, including members of the Task Force headquarters and tactical aviation component, will depart for Mali on a Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft.

The command team of Task Force Mali is among those departing, including the Commander, Colonel Chris McKenna. He is joined by his Deputy Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Jill Bishop, and his Chief Warrant Officer, Dan Baulne.

Lieutenant-General Al Meinzinger, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, will be on hand to bid farewell to deploying personnel.
