Minister of National Defence to Attend Change of Command Ceremony

October 12, 2018 – Cambridge, Ont. – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Media are invited to attend the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada Change of Command Ceremony this Saturday, October 13th in the Market Square Lot at - Cambridge City Hall.

What: Command of the Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada will be transfered from Lieutenant-Colonel Mark Poland to Major Steve Coe. Additonally, Honorary Colonel Bernie Melloul will take over from outgoing Honorary Colonel Brian Rainville and the role of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the Regiment will be given to Lieutenant-Colonel Jane Klugman as the Regiment says farewell to Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel Bernie Melloul.

The Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, will be in attendance along with other dignitaries and high-ranking members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

When: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13th, 2018.

Where: Cambridge City Hall, 50 Dickson St, Cambridge, ON. The ceremony will be held in the Market Square Lot (parking).

Notes to editors / news directors: There will be a Public Affairs Officer available on-site during the ceremony to answer questions. A small reception will be held at the Cambridge Armoury, 1 Valour Place after the ceremony, where the minister will be available to answer questions from the media.
