Minister Sajjan to mark the start of construction of the fourth Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship

The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, will mark an important milestone in the renewal of the Royal Canadian Navy’s fleet.

As outlined in Canada’s defence policy, Strong, Secure, Engaged, the Government is providing the Royal Canadian Navy with the enhanced Arctic capabilities it needs to remain an agile and responsive naval force, safeguarding Canadian waters, and contributing meaningfully to international operations.
