Commander Canadian Army Change of Command Ceremony to take place on Parliament Hill

Media are invited to attend the change of command ceremony for the Canadian Army on August 20, 2019. Lieutenant-General Wayne Eyre will assume command of the Canadian Army from Lieutenant-General Jean-Marc Lanthier in a ceremony presided over by the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Jonathan Vance.

Where: There will be a designated media viewing area on Parliament Hill.

When: 10 a.m. to approximately 11 a.m. on August 20, 2019. 

What: A change of command ceremony, followed by a brief media opportunity with Lieutenant-General Eyre.

Media are requested to be in location (designated media viewing area on Parliament Hill) no later than 9:30 a.m.
