Minister Sajjan to mark important milestone for Joint Support Ship project

The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, will mark an important milestone in the construction of the Joint Support Ship for the Royal Canadian Navy. Following the announcement, the Minister will be available to answer questions from the media.

Through our defence policy, Strong, Secure, Engaged, the Department of National Defence is ensuring our Royal Canadian Navy has the equipment it needs to monitor and defend Canadian waters, and to continue making significant contributions to international operations.

When: July 20, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. PST

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance for this event will be limited to a maximum of 10 media representatives. Should a higher number of requests be received, we will facilitate sharing video footage and/or still imagery.

Note that this is an outdoor event and that government-issued photo identification is required for access to the event space. All guests attending this event will be required to complete a mandatory COVID-19 questionnaire prior to entry.
