Media Call-Back Opportunity with Canada’s Chief of the Defence Staff Following the Arctic Chiefs of Defence Meeting

August 5, 2022 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

General Wayne Eyre will host Chiefs of Defence and representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and the United States in St. John’s, N.L. and virtually on August 8, 2022 to discuss between like-minded nations the evolving security environment in the Arctic, opportunites for enhanced cooperation, as well as outline Canada’s Arctic defence capabilities and initiatives.

Media are invited to participate in a one-on-one call-back with General Eyre, on the topic of Arctic security and international collaboration following these discussions. 

What: Journalists will have the opportunity for a one-on-one phone or virtual interview with Canada’s Chief of the Defence Staff, General Wayne Eyre.

When: 3 p.m. Eastern time (4:30 p.m. Newfoundland time) on Monday, August 8, 2022. 

Where: Interview will be conducted via telephone, or video call on request.
