Minister Anand to discuss the Indo-Pacific Strategy

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, will hold a virtual press conference to announce the defence and security elements of the Indo-Pacific Strategy. This event will immediately follow a broader in-person announcement by the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and other ministers.
The Indo-Pacific region is key for Canada’s economic growth, prosperity and security. As a Pacific nation, Canada recognizes that the Indo-Pacific region is critically important for the long-term prosperity, health and security of Canadians.
