Defence Minister Anita Anand to visit Seaspan Shipyards

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, will visit Seaspan Shipyards as part of a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. Seaspan is an integral partner of the Government of Canada as we deliver on the National Shipbuilding Strategy to renew Canada’s federal fleet of combat and non-combat vessels for the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Coast Guard. At Seaspan, Minister Anand will partake in a tour of the Shipyards and take questions from interested media.

While in Vancouver Minister Anand will also meet with the Ukrainian-Canadian community to discuss Canada’s ongoing support to the Ukraine, and with the Iranian-Canadian community to discuss Canada’s support for women’s and human rights in Iran.

Additionally, Minister Anand will visit the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 118 in North Vancouver and Simon Fraser University to engage with students and faculty on international security issues.
