NORAD aircraft presence in support of U.S. President visit in Ottawa

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Canadian Region will support the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by providing air security for the U.S. President Joe Biden as he visits Ottawa, from March 23 to 24, 2023.

Residents of the National Capital Region may see or hear NORAD CF-18 Hornet fighter jets and CH-146 Griffon helicopters over the region as early as Wednesday March 22 and throughout the course of the visit.

Civilian pilots are encouraged to consult NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) published by NAV CANADA in order to know where and when flight restrictions associated with the visit will be in effect.
