Members of the media are invited to attend the Seamless Canada Steering Committee (SCSC) media availability taking place in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Co-chairs of the SCSC, the Honourable Bryan May, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence (representing Minister of National Defence Anita Anand), and Ms. Mary Wilson, Member of New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly, joined by Colonel Marc Parent, 5 Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown commander, will be available to speak to the media prior to the SCSC annual meeting.

The Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) launched Seamless Canada (SC) in 2018 as a subset of Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) initiative #24 to help alleviate stressors related to moves between provinces unique to CAF members and their families.

Media availability at the Seamless Canada annual meeting with Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence Bryan May, co-chair Member of New Brunswick’s Legislative Assembly Mary Wilson, and Colonel Marc Parent, 5 Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown commander. Major-General Simon Bernard and Colonel Stéphanie Godin will also be present as additional military representatives.
