Minister Blair and Minister Petitpas Taylor to make an announcement to honour the legacy of No. 2 Construction Battalion

November 15, 2023 – Ottawa, Ontario – Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

The Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, and the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will make an announcement to honour the legacy of No. 2 Construction Battalion.

They will be joined by Darrell Samson, Member of Parliament for Sackville—Preston—Chezzetcook, Russell Grosse, Executive Director of the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia, and members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Date and time: 9:00 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST), November 17, 2023. Media are requested to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.
