Parliamentary Secretary Lalonde to highlight start of work on new Air Force Expeditionary Capability at Canadian Forces Base Bagotville

November 14, 2023 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Marie-France Lalonde, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of National Defence, on behalf of the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, will visit Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Bagotville to officially mark the start of work on the new Air Force Expeditionary Capability (AFEC) facility. The announcement will be followed by a groundbreaking ceremony.

Once completed, this facility will support 2 Wing, which provide necessary operational personnel and equipment to support the Royal Canadian Air Force’s worldwide deployments. Parliamentary Secretary Lalonde will deliver remarks and take questions from the media.

Date and time: November 15, 2023, 13:00 (ET).

Where: Building 16 (Barn) and AFEC construction site at CFB Bagotville.
