Minister Blair to co-host the 16th annual Halifax International Security Forum

November 20, 2024 – Ottawa, Ontario – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

The Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, will co-host the 16th annual Halifax International Security Forum from November 22 – 24.

The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, will also be attending.

Minister Blair will also be joined in Halifax by Chief of the Defence Staff General Jennie Carignan and Deputy Minister of National Defence Stefanie Beck.

The Forum brings together top defence decision-makers, senior military officers, and industry representatives to discuss the world’s most pressing peace and security challenges.

Friday, November 22 – Minister Blair and HFX President, Peter Van Praagh will host a press conference
