Minister Blair to attend the 25th Ukraine Defense Contact Group Meeting

The Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, will visit Germany on January 9, 2025, to participate in the 25th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting hosted by United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III at Ramstein Air Base.

Minister Blair will join Allies and partners from approximately 50 nations to discuss Russia’s ongoing illegal and unjustifiable war on Ukraine and Canada’s ongoing work to provide Ukraine with the military assistance it needs to defend its sovereignty.

The Minister will also announce new donations and provide delivery updates to several donations announced in 2024.

On January 9, 2025, Minister Blair will hold a media availability at Ramstein Air Base to announce additional military assistance to Ukraine.
