New Air and Army Nationally Directed Activities

  1. As indicated in reference, Comd Natl CJCR Sp Gp has approved two new Nationally Directed Activities (NDA) to occur in the summer of 2019 for senior Air and Army Cadets.

  2. Six senior Air Cadets will be selected to attend the United States Air Force (USAF) Civil Air Patrol Cadet Officer School (CAP COS) training in Montgomery, Alabama at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base from 26 June to 6 July 2019. The CAP COS training is the organization’s pinnacle leadership activity, which delivers training in leadership, communication, character building, airspace and cyberspace, strategic thinking and administration.

  3. Two senior Army Cadets will be selected to attend the US Army Cadet Command and the College Options Foundation’s annual championship. The Junior Reserve Officer Training Course (JROTC) Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) will occur in Washington, DC from 21 to 25 June 2019, it is the culmination of year-long leadership and academic competitions that aim to prepare students for higher education and future leadership positions. During the week-long event, Army Cadets from around the world will meet with education, government, and military leaders and other special guest speakers.

  4. There will be one escort officer selected for each NDA.

  5. Further details on these NDAs will be promulgated under separate cover to the RCSUs.
