2040-2 Annex E - Terms of Reference – Class B Representative
Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group Order (CJCR Gp O)
Purpose
1. The Class B Representative provides a voice for COATS members serving on Class B Reserve Service.
Selection
2. The Class B Representative is a COATS member serving on Class B at CJCR HQ and is appointed by the Commander CJCR in consultation with the NACC Chair.
Term
3. The appointment is for a period of three years, with a possibility of a one year extension. The term will not exceed four years.
Rank
4. The appointed Class B Representative will normally hold the rank of Maj/LCdr.
Prerequisites
5. The Class B Representative must meet the following criteria:
- currently serving in a Class B position over 180 days;
- have at least eight years of experience as a COATS member with three years of service of Class B over 180 days;
- proactive in the COATS community.
Responsibilities
6. The Class B Representative is responsible for :
- communicating with the NACC Chair;
- coordinating activities which relate to the NACC for Class “B” personnel;
- liaising with and responding in a timely manner to the NACC Chair;
- being accountable to the NACC through the NACC Chair;
- presenting interests and issues of Class B personnel at the national level.
