Operation AMISTAD

Operation AMISTAD 2025 is a United States-led humanitarian assistance mission to bring health care, humanitarian assistance and civic support to communities in Latin America.

The Canadian contribution to Operation AMISTAD develops Canadian and United States partnerships with regional nations and provides an invaluable opportunity to learn from ally and partner nations. Continually exercising and emphasizing interoperability between nations in the region is a key element of promoting regional stability and cooperation.

In support to Operation AMISTAD 2025, the Canadian Armed Forces deployed two Tactical Combat Casualty Care trainers to Peru from 2 to 13 June to provide training to health care professionals. A Dental Officer and a Dental Technician deployed to El Salvador from 16 to 27 June, and two Dental Officers and two Dental Technicians deployed to Suriname from 14 to 25 July to provide free of cost dental care to those in need from local communities at the deployed locations.
