The Government of Canada supports a leader in the machining of high-precision parts

Located in Saint-Georges, Beauce, the company OSI Précision will strengthen its ability to become better integrated into its clients’ value chain and will expand its markets

March 31, 2016 – Saint-Georges (Quebec) – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announces that the company OSI Précision is obtaining financial support that will help increase its production capacity and optimize its machining processes.

The financial assistance announced today amounts to $390,000. It is awarded in the form of a non-repayable contribution under the Quebec Economic Development Program.

CED is one of six regional development agencies under the responsibility of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development.

  • Innovation and access to latest-generation equipment is now enabling OSI Précision to position itself with buyers as a high-caliber supplier.
  • The funding awarded will enable the company to purchase and install a 5-axis universal machining centre.
  • The project will help increase the productivity and competitiveness of the company, which foresees that it will create three new jobs by late 2016.
