First manufacturing business incubator-accelerator opens in the Laurentides region

Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Qc - October 18, 2017 – The Corporation de développement économique de la MRC des Laurentides, the City of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, the Corporation industrielle de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Desjardins, the governments of Canada and Quebec, and a number of partners officially opened La Manufacture, the very first manufacturing business incubator-accelerator in the Laurentides region. La Manufacture will encourage manufacturing start-ups and help them in their early years when businesses are often vulnerable.
Located at 195 Brissette Street, in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, La Manufacture has a total of 20,000 square feet, housing offices, industrial workshops, shared spaces and services, and a loading dock, all provided in a modern environment that is conducive to business development.
Economic diversification and job creation
The partners invested a total of $400,000 to start this project. (Desjardins, Gestion J.G. Courchesne, the City of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec, the Laurentides RCM, the Corporation de développement économique de la MRC des Laurentides and the Pays-d’en-Haut RCM) “La Manufacture helps enterprises access a business network made up of the best professionals in their industry, as well as the resources they need to take their projects to the next level, and all under one roof,” stated Michel Trottier, Director General of the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
