More than $1.6 million dollars for an $11 million investment project by Produits American Biltrite Ltée

Sherbrooke, January 18, 2018 – The governments of Quebec and Canada are awarding more than $1.6 million in financial contributions to Produits American Biltrite, which manufactures industrial polymers and flooring, to support an investment project evaluated at $11 million.
The Government of Quebec has granted a financial contribution of $550,000 for the business’s project under the ESSOR program, and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) has awarded a repayable contribution of $1.1 million through the Quebec Economic Development Program.
The initiative, which will create some 30 jobs at the company’s Sherbrooke plant, involves the manufacture of two new rubber flooring products, notably a line of FloorScore™ certified flooring that meets LEED construction standards.
