Over $425,000 to support the growth of the company MF2 AERO

Industry 4.0: an investment of $610,000 in Mauricie

Trois-Rivières, Quebec, July 8, 2019 – The governments of Quebec and Canada along with Investissement Québec award financial assistance totalling more than $425,000 to MF2 AERO for carrying out a project estimated at $610,000. With these contributions, the company will purchase new production equipment making it possible to install a second collaborative robot, which will perform various loading and unloading operations of parts to be machined.

Ms. Marie-Eve Proulx, Minister for Regional Economic Development, Mr. Jean Boulet, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, Minister responsible for the Mauricie Region and Member for Trois-Rivières, along with the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Member of Parliament for Saint-Maurice–Champlain and Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), made the announcement today.

The Government of Quebec is awarding a total of nearly $260,000 in financial assistance to support MF2 AERO’s project. The Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation is providing $135,000 through the Economic Diversification Fund for Centre-du-Québec and Mauricie, while Investissement Québec is providing a loan of $123,705 from its own funds.

The Government of Canada is awarding a repayable contribution of $166,590 under CED’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program.

Founded in 2000, MF2 AERO is a company that specializes in digitally controlled machining of industrial parts and stands out in the mining, ground transportation, aeronautics and industrial subcontracting sectors.
