Suite 125 breaking into U.S. market with innovative technology

News release

Québec, Quebec, March 4, 2020 Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Information technology start-up Suite 125 has developed a novel IT solution that automates measurement-taking for clothing design. The Québec SME wants to break into the U.S. market by marketing its MTM.DESIGN platform in the U.S. thanks to a recent Government of Canada investment.

An innovative, promising product

MTM.DESIGN was initially designed by Surmesur Inc.’s team of internal programmers, who received a repayable contribution of $50,000 from CED to begin developing the platform. In light of the enthusiasm the technology generated, Surmesur founded Suite 125 in 2018 to continue to develop and market it.

This unique platform integrates the company’s business intelligence and is founded on exclusive partnerships established around the world. It uses a database (big data) to collect information compiled over eight years from among 70,000 clients, gathering their measurements and preferences, as well as a range of 65,000 types of cloth. It is available to businesses working in the made-to-measure clothing industry, in particular traditional tailors and retailers also offering this type of design.

The business will continue to develop its novel web platform, adapting it more to the U.S. market with the help of a repayable contribution of $132,500 announced today by Joël Lightbound, Member of Parliament for Louis-Hébert and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness. This announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for the six regional development agencies (RDAs), including CED.
