C2 Montreal: an international showcase for the metropolis and a discussion forum on the recovery of the economy
News release
Montreal, October 9, 2020 – The governments of Canada and Quebec support C2 Montreal, a one-of-a-kind event that brings together business and economic community leaders from around the world. C2 Montreal contributes to Montreal's reputation as a creative metropolis and demonstrates its inventiveness in offering an innovative formula for sharing ideas on economic recovery. This all-digital event builds on the elements that have shaped its success: innovation-focused workshops, creative experiences, and internationally recognized speakers.
Economic recovery will undoubtedly require a significant concerted effort on the part of businesses and government. C2 Montreal can play a pivotal role in helping creative as well as business communities overcome the challenges resulting from COVID-19. That is why the federal government is providing $750,000 in funding from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED). The support from the Government of Quebec consists of a financial contribution of $500,000 from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l'Habitation and $350,000 from the Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation.
Being the only event of its kind in the country, C2 Montreal is one of the most important growth catalysts for the creative and business industries in Quebec. It generates concrete business opportunities by connecting local businesses and professionals to each other and to international business networks.
