The following information is in addition to the news release issued on July 27, 2022, on CED’s financial assistance, the recipient businesses and organizations, and their respective projects.

- These contributions are being granted through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) and the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF), both of which fall under the Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP).

Mont-Saint-Pierre |
The aim of the project is to develop the Municipalité de Mont-Saint-Pierre’s tourism offering to make it a year‑round tourism hub by establishing a mountain station on the sea. The main activities under this project include the construction and fitting out of the Place du village, the construction and opening of a virtual immersive multimedia hang-gliding experience centre, the construction and opening of an observation building at the summit of Mont Saint-Pierre, the expansion and refurbishment of a mountain station at the summit of Mont Saint-Pierre, upgrades to the hang‑gliding departure facilities and the acquisition of safety equipment, the refurbishment of trails for all types of hikers, the acquisition of transportation equipment, a shuttle and a trail groomer, and the hiring of consultants. CED’s contribution will focus on the construction and opening of the virtual multimedia centre and the construction of the observation building at the summit of Mont Saint-Pierre, including a cantilevered platform on which to hold immersive theatre, as well as the expansion and refurbishment of the mountain station. |
