Backgrounder: CED supports five projects to develop Bas‑Saint‑Laurent tourism experience

The goal of the project is to develop an immersive and interactive experience in Matane that will bolster the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie tourism circuit. 

The main activities include the acquisition of technological equipment; content design and production; rental fit‑up work; and marketing.

CED's assistance will be used for the acquisition of technological equipment, content design and production, and rental fit‑up work.

Société du parc côtier Kiskotuk

The project aims to improve the tourism offering of Société du parc côtier Kiskotuk through infrastructure upgrading and the enhancement of the accommodation facilities, which will allow the organization to extend the rental period and offer winter activities.

The project aims to modernize the tourism offering at Auberge du Grand Fleuve.

The project involves developing the tourism offering of La Cabane Secrète and upgrading accommodation facilities in Matanie. 

The activities include acquiring and setting up out-of-the-ordinary accommodation units; acquiring client transportation equipment; building sanitary facilities; and developing the main trail.

The CED funding will cover all the project costs.

The project aims to help an agri‑tourism business start up tourist accommodation activities.

The main activities include building and setting up an agri‑tourism inn.

CED's assistance will be used to set up rental rooms and a common relaxation area, and to do outside work on the inn.
