CED’s support focuses on overall project costs.

Corporation Nibiischii

Mistissini

The aim of the project is to modernize Indigenous tourism organization Corporation Nibiischii’s accommodations.

The main activities undertaken are the modernization of 11 accommodation units and a conference room; the development of an aerial trail, belvederes, and an observation tower; and the creation of virtual and augmented reality materials and an interactive map of the territory.

CED’s support includes the cost of improvements to the accommodation units and professional services to develop the aerial trail, belvederes, and observation tower.

Cree Outfitting and Tourism Association (COTA)

Oujé-Bougoumou

The aim of the project is to improve and modernize services in the Indigenous tourism sector.

The main activities undertaken are the acquisition and installation of various equipment including digital equipment to automate client registrations in seven targeted hotels and full meal distributors, and the purchase of a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine for each room.

CED’s support covers overall project costs.

The aim of the project is to improve and modernize services in the Indigenous tourism sector.

The main activities undertaken are the acquisition of equipment to be able to rent out accommodation units, and the purchase of a boat for short and long cruises, trailers, camping gear and nautical equipment.

CED’s support makes it possible to acquire a boat and includes towing and transportation fees.

Diana Lake Lodge Kuujjuaq

The aim of the project is to improve and modernize service offer in the Indigenous tourism sector.

The main activities include renovating, furnishing, and insulating six cabins at the lodge; redoing their roofs and external coverings; and purchasing leisure equipment to enable clients to participate in adventure tourism.

CED’s assistance makes it possible to renovate the buildings, redo the roofs and external coverings, and insulate the units. $100,000 $604,000
Ungava Polar Eco-Tours Kuujjuaq

The aim of the project is to develop services in the Indigenous tourism sector.

The main activities undertaken are the acquisition of fibreglass domes, the installation of a storage space and a sanitary area, and the purchase of cooking equipment, box springs, generators, heating units, boats, all-terrain vehicles, and trailers.

The main activities undertaken are the modernization and renovation of facilities and the acquisition of electronic locks.

The aim of the project is to develop service offer in the adventure tourism sector.

The main activities undertaken are the acquisition of specialized equipment, including a trailer, outdoor accessories, and recreational equipment.

CED’s support focuses mainly on the acquisition of equipment, including platforms, spas, outdoor fireplaces, all‑terrain bicycles, a specialized trailer, and furniture; as well as outdoor development work; the construction of terraces; and excavation work.
