FedDev Ontario Supports Innovative Toronto-based Company to Develop 3D Scanning Technology

News Release

June 17, 2016 – Toronto, Ontario – Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario)

Today, Julie Dzerowicz, Member of Parliament for Davenport, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, announced funding of up to $858,560 for Matter and Form Inc.

Helping businesses and entrepreneurs become more innovative, competitive, and successful will ultimately improve Canada's economy and create well-paying jobs. That's why the Government of Canada is pleased to support Matter and Form to complete the development and commercialization of its second generation 3D scanners. The company's cloud-based platform gives users the power to capture 3D data from small objects and create computer models which can then be printed in 3D.

This repayable contribution, through FedDev Ontario's Investing in Business Innovation initiative, will also help Matter and Form expand its team in all areas to support sales, customer growth, research and development as well as operations.
