Guelph and Wellington County to receive over $2.6 million to support community infrastructure and tourism industry


Today, the Honourable Helena Jaczek, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), announced a FedDev Ontario investment of over $2.6 million, through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) and Tourism Relief Fund (TRF), to support eight community projects across Guelph and Wellington County:

Revitalize Riverside Park, including park bandshell, washrooms and amusement train ride.



Corporation of the Town of Minto

Transform vacant property located in the heart of downtown Clifford into the Clifford Rotary Celebration Square.



Guelph Hiking Trail Club

Improve downtown section of Trans Canada Trail.



Township of Guelph/Eramosa

Construct and install a 1,800-square foot accessible and gender-neutral washroom facility and adjoining 3,000-square foot outdoor pavilion in Rockmosa Park.



Erin Agricultural Society

Upgrade electrical infrastructure at Erin Fairgrounds.



Erin Agricultural Society

Enhance and expand 2022 Erin Fall Fair.



The Corporation of the Township of Centre Wellington

Install new permanent public washroom at Hoffer Park, near Elora Gorge.



Today’s $2.6 million Government of Canada investment is pending successful completion of signed contribution agreements.
