Government of Canada invests over $1.5 million to support community infrastructure and tourism industry across Sarnia-Lambton

Today, on behalf of the Honourable Helena Jaczek, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), Peter Fragiskatos, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Revenue and Member of Parliament for London North Centre, announced an investment of over $1.5 million through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) and Tourism Relief Fund (TRF), to support the following six community projects across Sarnia-Lambton:

The Corporation of the Town of Petrolia Improve the YMCA Community Centre in Petrolia, enhancing a fitness and wellness hub for residents of Petrolia and its surrounding communities. $699,000 CCRF
Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival* Enhanced event experience of two-day recovery concert in Sarnia, as well as supported extension of its annual summer kick-off music festival. $100,000 TRF
The Corporation of the Town of Petrolia Extend the Victoria Playhouse season from three to six weeks and add digital screens. $116,825 TRF
