Government of Canada supports tourism recovery and community infrastructure support in London and southwestern Ontario


Today, Arielle Kayabaga, Member of Parliament for London West, on behalf of the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), announced an investment of over $4.5 million, through the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF) and the Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF), for 22 projects in London, Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Norfolk County and surrounding areas that will support community infrastructure enhancements, tourism recovery and economic development in the region.

Catfish Creek Conservation Authority

Modernize maple syrup festival with marketing campaign, new automated gates and electrical services, update Sugar Shanty, and enhance children's programming.



City of Woodstock

Promote, select and install artistic bicycle racks, designed by Woodstock citizens.



County of Elgin

Create printed and digital guides displaying local food trails and promote farm-to-table tourism.



Delaware Speedway

Create a new concert as part of Delaware Speedway concert series.



Hounds of Erie Winery

Create an outdoor, covered event space, improve trails for winter activities and winterize a cabin.



Kustermans Adventure Farms Inc.

Create a new winter farm festival including activities such as campfires, learning about Christmas trees, bale adventure zones, snowman bowling and more.



Ruthven Park

Enhance the Robbie Burns event through promotion and expanded goods/services/talents.



Snyders Family Farm

Install a tree house play area for children and landscape surrounding area.



Walters Music Venue

Create a smaller stage area to complement the large stage and theatre space, to increase programming, support more artists and host smaller shows.



Wishbone Brewing Company Ltd.

Expand production line through additional cold storage and equipment for unique brewing visitor experiences.



Corporation of the Municipality of Bayham

Rehabilitate sidewalks in the community of Vienna.



Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin

Improve amenities and accessibility of Belmont Union Street Park, including paths, washrooms, pickleball courts, outdoor fitness equipment and playground equipment.



Drumbo Agricultural Society

Upgrade accessibility, facilities and equipment of the Drumbo Agricultural Society Community Hall.



Glencoe Agricultural Society

Improve the community hall (Ag Hall) and Glencoe Curling Arena accessibility entrances.



Greek Canadian Community Centre of London and Vicinity

Improve outdoor recreational fields, greenspace and roof.



Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority

Expand the Longwoods Road Resource Centre and create an Indigenous Community Education Centre.



Middlesex County Library

Install permanent storytelling display structures to enhance trails.



Municipality of Dutton Dunwich

Improve energy efficiency and accessibility of municipal office and local theatre located in downtown Dutton.



South Norwich Historical Society

Construct a gender-neutral, accessible washroom at the Otterville Station Museum.



The Corporation of the Town of Tillsonburg

Refurbish the outdoor pool building with accessible changeroom and washroom facilities and improved canteen.



The Corporation of the Township of Zorra

Improve energy efficiency at Township of Zorra's Municipal Office.
