Plant protection, animal health and plant inspection

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) implements legislation with regard to the import and export of plants and animals and their parts and derivatives under, especially, the following laws:

• Canadian Food Inspection Agency Act (1997 c. 6)
• Plant Protection Act (1990 c. 22)
• Health of Animals Act (1990 c. 21)
