Township of Emo
$793,357

A FedNor investment of $793,357 will enable the Township of Emo to upgrade its municipal water distribution system. The water main extension will stretch from the intersection of Queen Street and Highway 11 to the east end of the township where 10 commercial lots will be located. This community economic development capital project will address anticipated commercial and residential demand generated from the new gold mine development. The funding is provided through FedNor's Northern Ontario Development Program fund which supports projects that promote sustainable community economic development, enhance business development and growth, and facilitate innovation

Township of La Vallee
$25,500

An investment of $25,500 will enable the Township of La Vallee to undertake renovations to its community hall to improve accessibility to and drainage around the facility, as well as user safety with the construction of a parking lot. The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) funding, delivered through FedNor, is part of the Government of Canada's coordinated approach to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. These investments will help create jobs, boost economic activity, strengthen communities, and celebrate Canada's rich heritage and history.

Township of Morley
$17,500

Stratton Community Centre in the Township of Morley will be renovated thanks to a Canada CIP 150 investment of $17,500, provided through FedNor. The project will entail roof replacement, drywalling, painting and new weatherstripping. Canada CIP 150 is designed to leave a lasting legacy by supporting the rehabilitation or improvement of existing community infrastructure assets and facilities across the country that promote community and cultural benefits for the public.
