Government of Canada Announces Infrastructure Investment to Support Social and Economic Development and Growth in Englehart

April 7, 2017 – Englehart, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

A Government of Canada investment of $100,000 will enable the Township of Evanturel to make improvements to a municipal roadway leading to Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park, a popular local tourist destination.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program investment. Specifically, the FedNor funding will enable the community to rehabilitate a one-kilometre stretch of the municipally owned Kap-Kig-Iwan Park Road to better accommodate traffic into the park. Work will include replacing culverts, cleaning out ditches, grading, and replacing the existing hardtop.
