Government of Canada Invests to Revitalize MacTier’s Memorial Community Centre

The Government of Canada is investing $100,000 to help the Township of Georgian Bay refurbish the MacTier Memorial Community Centre and Arena. The facility, built in the 1970s, is an important gathering place and a vital social hub for the community.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) investment. Specifically, the funding will enable the replacement of the facility’s aging roof, and builds on previous Government of Canada investments to help the Township of Georgian Bay to refurbish the facility.
