Government of Canada Invests $100,000 to Revitalize and Expand the Onaping Falls Community Centre

June 2, 2017 – Onaping Falls, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $100,000 to enable the City of Sudbury, in partnership with the Onaping Falls Recreation Committee, to modernize and upgrade the local community centre. Built in the 1950s, the Onaping Falls Community Centre is an important local asset that serves as a central gathering place and social hub for the community.

Marc Serré, Member of Parliament for Nickel Belt, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) funding. The project, which will include the construction of an outdoor splash pad, will help ensure residents of all ages continue to have access to a fun, safe, modern and family-friendly facility for many years to come.
