Families in Kenora will benefit from an improved community space promoting active living

$40,000 from the Government of Canada will support upgrades to the Kenora Aerialettes Gymnastics Club

Kenora families will benefit from a revitalized Kenora Aerialettes Gymnastic Club thanks to a $40,000 investment from the Government of Canada. The local club is used extensively by area families as a safe place for children to play, socialize and exercise.
The funding was announced today by the Honourable Bob Nault, Member of Parliament for Kenora, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedNor.
Specifically, this FedNor investment will be used to upgrade the plumbing and drainage systems, modernize washroom facilities, create a new entrance, and reconfigure the interior, making it open-concept and fully accessible to all Canadians.
This investment is being allocated under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, a $300-million fund that was established to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday through investments in the community spaces that bring Canadians together. Of that amount, $10.4 million is being invested across Northern Ontario.
