The Honourable Patty Hajdu to Announce Government of Canada Support for Research and Innovation in the Thunder Bay Region

Thunder Bay, Ontario, January 19, 2018 — The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, and Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Superior North, will be in Thunder Bay on January 22, 2018 to make a significant funding announcement in support of innovation, job creation and economic growth in Northwestern Ontario.
The announcement will be made on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, and the Honourable Jim Carr, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources.
MP Hajdu will participate in a photo opportunity and will be available to answer questions from the media following the announcement.
