Government of Canada investment helps bring together business leaders from across Canada for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s annual general meeting

Canadian Chambers of Commerce are strong advocates for small and medium-sized enterprises, working hard to ensure that businesses have the resources and support they need to succeed, create middle-class jobs and grow the economy. Representatives from more than 320 Canadian chambers of commerce will gather in Thunder Bay this weekend to promote business development and growth thanks to a Government of Canada investment of $17,700.

The funding was announced today by the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, and Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Superior North, and Don Rusnak, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Rainy River, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for FedNor.

Taking place September 22-24, 2018, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Convention of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce is being hosted this year by the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce.
