Changes to 2016 Recreational Groundfish (Cod) Fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador and ACOA Funding Announcement

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – The Honourable Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Member of Parliament for Bonavista-Burin-Trinity on behalf of Hunter Tootoo, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will make a significant announcement about Newfoundland and Labrador’s annual recreational groundfish (cod) fishery.

Minister Foote on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, will announce ACOA funding for community infrastructure in Heart’s Delight-Islington.

Location:   James G. Reid Memorial Marina, Heart’s Delight, Heart’s Delight-Islington

Media are asked to arrive 15 minutes early and park at the Town Hall which is adjacent to the marina. Sensible footwear is encouraged.
