Minister Wilkinson to make important announcements on behalf of the Government of Canada in Victoria

Victoria, B.C. – The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will be in Victoria, British Columbia tomorrow to make several announcements.

Media are invited to attend these two opportunities:

1.   On behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, Minister Wilkinson will celebrate the completion of an infrastructure project supported through the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund.

2.   Minister Wilkinson will be making an Oceans Protection Plan announcement about the arrival of Coast Guard’s new marine environmental response equipment. In addition, he will meet several students who were involved with the Inshore Rescue Boat Program this summer, and take a short ride with Coast Guard crew on an Inshore Rescue Boat.
