Minister O’Regan to announce investment in Fisheries and Oceans enforcement

The Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Indigenous Services, on behalf of the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, will be in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, to announce a significant investment to protect our oceans and coastal communities. The announcement will support the government’s actions to enforce our laws and combat illegal fishing, as well as increase maritime security, patrol marine protected areas and protect endangered whales.
Media will have the opportunity to participate in a tour the hanger and aircraft following the announcement.

Minister O’Regan to announce investment in Canadian Coast Guard
The Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Indigenous Services,, on behalf of the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility, will make an announcement in support of the Canadian Coast Guard’s Vessel Life Extension program that will create and sustain local jobs and economic growth.
